Alamosa Volunteer Search and Rescue is a 100 percent non-profit, volunteer group in Alamosa County, Colorado. We operate under the Alamosa County Sheriff's Office in the San Luis Valley.
Our purpose is to coordinate and conduct search and rescue operations in Alamosa County. "...so that others may live."

AVSAR meetings occur every fourth Tuesday of the month at 6:00 p.m. at the Alamosa County Sheriff's Office, located at 1315 17th St.
AVSAR trainings and missions primarily occur in the Blanca Massif Mountain Group. However, AVSAR often assists many of the San Luis Valley's SAR teams in mutual-aid missions.
