UHV Rollover leads to recovery on Lake Como Road – Sept. 9, 2022

On Sept. 9, 2022 AVSAR Leadership was contacted by the State Patrol dispatch center in Alamosa in regards to a vehicle rollover on Lake Como Rd.
 
AVSAR team members in conjunction with the Alamosa County Sheriff’s Office and Colorado State Patrol responded to the accident. AVSAR brought up the Alamosa County Sheriff and an officer from the Colorado State Patrol to properly document the accident scene. The accident occurred at an obstacle called Jaws 2, on Lake Como Rd. The vehicle rolled several times ejecting both occupants. One occupant, the passenger, received non life threatening injuries and the other occupant, the driver, received fatal injuries.
 
AVSAR responded in two of the team’s rock crawlers to assist in getting the injured party out and bring the deceased driver off the mountain.
 
AVSAR would like to send our deepest condolences to all those who know and love the man that lost his life in this accident.
